SNOW BANK MEASUREMENT PROFILE
Snow accumulation along runways and taxiways can impact aircraft safety, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Accurate measurement and documentation of snowbanks are critical for maintaining safe clearances and supporting effective snow removal strategies during winter operations.
SnowProᴬᴵ supports winter operations by capturing accurate, geolocated snowbank measurements during routine patrols.
Using a combination of LiDAR, GPS, and sensor fusion, the system measures snowbank height, slope, and volume in real time while the vehicle is in motion. This enables teams to collect consistent data during routine snow removal operations.
Built to address FAA Advisory Circular 150/5200-30D, and Transport Canada CAR Standard 322 requirements.
Measure
3D profiles of snowbank height, slope, and volume.
Flag
Automatically identifies snowbanks that exceed FAA, Transport Canada height restrictions or encroach into protected zones like RSAs and TOFAs.
Tag
Each measurement is GPS-tagged and time-stamped for streamlined NOTAM reporting and compliance documentation.
Comply
Enables automated, in-vehicle inspections to reduce risk, improve response times, and minimize personnel exposure on active airfields.
SnowProᴬᴵ is designed to support compliance with regulatory standards and operational guidelines, helping teams maintain safe clearance distances and manage snow accumulation effectively across critical airfield zones.
Automated measurement and tagging of snowbank data ensures that records are accurate, repeatable, and aligned with operational requirements.
